More about me

Hi, This is Ethan. I was born and raised at California in the US and then moved to Los Angeles a couple of years back. Living near to Hollywood made me curious about celebrities. I started blogging on different topics a couple of years back, but those are not as interesting as celebrity blogging. I love sneaking into people's personal lives and specially if they are celebrity that'd be really interesting.

More about the celebrities

Celebrities are the kind of species who'll always do crazy things to be in the news. The main problem with them is like they can't survive without public attention. That's are more on the news not because of their work but for the crazy acts they do.

81st Oscars: List of All Oscars Winners

"Slumdog Millionaire" is the Academy Awards champion, wrapping up its ghetto-to-glory story by winning best picture and seven other Oscars, including the directing honor for Danny Boyle.

A story of hope amid squalor in Mumbai, India, "Slumdog Millionaire" also had wins that include adapted screenplay, cinematography, editing and both music Oscars, score and song.

Director Boyle offered warm gratitude to the people of Mumbai, saying they "dwarf even this guy" as he held up his Oscar statue.

The evening is following the script of earlier Hollywood honors, with "Slumdog Millionaire" steamrolling through. Its awards include adapted screenplay, cinematography and both music awards, for score and song.

Winner for Best Actress: Kate Winslet, The Reader

Finally, Kate has won! Meryl Streep was amazing in Doubt but she’s had 15 nominations and several wins before. It’s time for Ms. Winslet to share in the glory and you can tell from her speech that she really wanted it.

For the Best Actor award, presenters Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Sir Ben Kingsley, Anthony Hopkins and Adrian Brody (all past winners) have come on stage to praise this year’s nominees. Robert De Niro was especially funny in talking about Sean Penn and Anthony Hopkins and Ben Kingsley had very nice things to say about Brad Pitt and Mickey Rourke, respectively.

Winner for Best Actor: Sean Penn, Milk

Sean Penn wins another for his outstanding performance in Milk and he gave a funny opening line in his acceptance speech. He ended his speech touching on a serious note and preaching for equal rights for which he received a loud applause. He also gave credit to Mickey Rourke whom I thought may win this award.

Winner for Best Support Actress: Penelope Cruz, Vicky Cristina Barcelona

This was unexpected but not undeserved - It was a rather difficult category to pick this year with all five nominees being almost equally likely winners. Personally, I would have gone with Taraji P. Henson from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

The Oscars are such a joke. Honestly it is a night for actors/actresses and everyone involved in film making to pat themselves on the back and tell themselves how great they are. Why the film industry insists on having the awards is beyond me. On top of that their nominees were impossibly predictable. Seriously there are so many good movies out there that never receive Oscar nods.

As for trying to draw in young crowds to watch the Oscars by having stars like Zac Efron and Robert Pattinson present, I am not entirely sure that it worked. Perhaps if the Oscars weren’t so dull and predictable more people would watch.

Congratulations Hollywood on patting yourselves on the back.

Rihanna -- The Face of a Battered Woman

A lot of photoshopped images has been on the net, but here’s the real one…I was caught off guard how bad she was hurt…She makes a living off her face (cover girl) as well as her voice so this will cost her some money.

Source: [TMZ]

While I do think it is inappropriate for TMZ (or anyone else) to further victimize her by publishing these photos, it certainly does offer a grim dose of reality.

The saddest part is that most women (and men in similar abusive situations) forgive and forget this kind of thing until it is way too late.

Julia Roberts wants Privacy

Julia Roberts has kept a relatively low profile since she married cameraman Danny Moder in 2002. Instead of making movies, the popular actress put her career on the back burner to focus on being a mom to her three children: 4-year-old twins Hazel and Finn, and Henry, who is almost 2. In Allure magazine's March 2009 issue, Roberts talks openly about motherhood, men, money, and the fact that she's over being called "America's Sweetheart."

"I think it should be against the law to take a picture of a celebritys child," notes Julia. "And all the, like, 'Who's got the cutest baby?' I had to restore my faith in people when, one night, I was on the computer, and I ended up stumbling upon some pictures I had never seen of my children playing at a park. What upset me was all these comments like, 'One is cute; that other one sure is ugly.'" People can be so mean!

I have no sympathy for any celebrity - this is part of the fame $ and lifestyle You can't have it both ways-be a megastar and have privacy also If her kids were in movie, Im sure it would be ok to take pictures then, right??? It would be one thing if the kids were photoed at their home - this was a park If you want your privacy, give up the life -

Don't Judge Joaquin Phoenix

When Joaquin Phoenix was on David Letterman's Late Show last week, he became the latest celeb to turn a Letterman appearance into a spectacularly awkward freak show, here's what yahoo music reports:

Joaquin has been saying for the last few months that he's quitting acting for music, specifically for a career as a rapper. In January, he celebrated this news by getting on the mic in Las Vegas and promptly falling off the stage. On hand was Casey Affleck, who's been filming Joaquin for the past few months for a documentary.

The speculation that it's all a bit of performance art for Affleck's camera was only fueled by Joaquin's appearance on Letterman to promote what may or may not be his final movie, Two Lovers. He seemed out-of-it and generally unable to put a sentence together, causing many people to wonder if this isn't an Andy Kaufman-esque stunt. On the other hand, Two Lovers director James Gray told MTV News that Joaquin has built a bona fide studio at his house, and was working on music the last time Gray visited. So who knows?

First of all I can see most of the people on here are people who are afraid of taking chances in life and when they see some doing so just judge them on preconceptive ignorant views that stem from your own lack of confidence to try something new. If he wants to become a rapper respect the man for what he wants to do and have admiration because of his ability not to care what people think. In my opinion that is why freaking economy is going down: people not thinking outside the box and are just conformed the norm and to the unknown.

Jessica Finally Speaks Out

Jessica Simpson finally decided to open her mouth about the much hyped weight gain issue that has been buzzing the web from last month. Here's what svelte starlet said On CBS's "Early Show," Yahoo!! buzz reports:

On CBS's "Early Show," Jessica performed her new single "Pray Out Loud" and answered a few "delicately asked" questions from interviewer Maggie Rodriguez. Simpson said that she appreciates the support she has received from fans and that "everything's really great." In other words, she's happy with the way she looks, and she's in no danger of having a Britney-like breakdown anytime soon.

God knows why people are so much concerned about Jessica. I don't think she's that much talented. I have heard her songs those sounds pretty ordinary. Well I did find her curves attractive as "Daisy Duke" on the "The Dukes of Hazzard (2005)" movie. But I don't really think she would like be featured in a bikini now as we could see her flab only instead of her sexy ab. Yeah!! one thing's for sure that she should play some memory game so, she doesn't forget lyrics of her show in the near future.

Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson giving love another try

Hollywood's on-again, off-again couple – Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson – are on yet again. A source close to the "You, Me and Dupree" stars tells People.com:

"They're back together," a source tells PEOPLE of the pair, who spent all of Sunday together at Wilson's Malibu home. Also there: Hudson's 5-year-old son Ryder.

Hudson, 29, and Wilson, 40, were most recently linked in Feb. 2008, where they appeared cozy at the Academy Awards last year. The two continued to hang out for several months – even celebrating Hudson's birthday in Miami – before breaking up again in May 2008.

"It was a pretty bad breakup," a friend of Wilson's told PEOPLE at the time. "Owen said it was a tough one. He definitely doesn't want to dwell on it. He wants to put it behind him."

I guess Kate is pretty much fed up with watching porn and now needs a real dick instead of her hand. On the other hand it is quite weird that these two can't seem to find any one else in their life and keep on bumpin on each other over and over again. I don't know how long they are gonna continue patch up session this time.

Rihanna Indentified as the Alleged Victim of the Chris Brown Assault

Law enforcement confirmed that it was Rihanna who Chris Brown assaulted on Sunday. Here's what an eyewitness told RadarOnline.com

"It was some time after 12PM PST [Sunday] and I had been waiting in the ER department corridor when Rihanna was brought through the back entrance on a gurney, flanked by two LAPD officers. It was impossible to know it was her at first because when they wheeled her past me, she had the hood on her fuchsia-colored sweatshirt tightly drawn round her face and she was wearing big brown sunglasses. They took her into room 14 which was opposite me. It had a six-foot glass door but the nurses drew a privacy curtain around it."

God saves these Ghettos, these people have a habit of biringing their domestic troubles into public. One of my friend used to stay next to family who are actually Nigerian, and the couple used to fight literally everyday. This is just usual stuff for them. No matter how much you try to make make them civilized they somply can't get over their uncivilized nature.

Jennifer can't forget Brad Pitt

No matter how many years go by, actress Jennifer Aniston can’t bring herself to erase A-list ex Brad Pitt — or even the men who came before him — from her life. Here's what she told Marie Claire magazine.

"I still have the cassette tapes of messages from my first boyfriend, my second boyfriend, my husband [Brad Pitt]. . . It’s like saving love letters,"

Whoa, people! I have all my ex's love letters. I don't drag them out and pour over them and cry. I'm very over them. It's just a part of my past. Am I supposed to build a bonfire and throw out everything? That would be foolish. The mistakes of the past are what we learn from to become the people we are now!

Robert Plant fed up of singing with men

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss
Seems like Robert Plant's collaboration with chics are turning out to be successful. Robert the lead singer of the 70's famous rock band "Led Zeppelin" paired with bluegrass singer Alison Krauss and swept their third trophy at the 51st Grammy Award, receiving the honor of Record of the Year for their collaborative track "Please Read This Letter".

Here's what Aceshowbiz reports:

Duo Robert Plant and Alison Krauss swept their third trophy, receiving the honor of Record of the Year for their collaborative track "Please Read This Letter". "It's time for somebody else to say something," so Robert said before giving the platform to producer T Bone Burnett, who stated, "Good things happen out of nowhere."

Robert recently refused to reunite with Jimmy Paige and other members of their band "Led Zeppelin" for a full tour and album because he said that "the band feels incomplete without original drummer John Bonham". I guess he is just fed up of singing with men all around him and wants to try his hands on some of the chics available. Well we won't mind it Robert as long as you are winning Grammies.

Jennifer Hudson should controll her emotions

Jennifer Hudson, who won the Grammy Award 2009 for the Best R&B Album, cried during her performance later in the show. Here's what Yahoo! Music reports:

Jennifer Hudson provided the night's most emotional moments onstage. The Oscar winner took her first Grammy award — for best R&B album — for her self-titled debut.

Hudson, 27, made no direct reference to the October killings of her mother, brother and nephew that kept her in seclusion until just this month. But while fighting back tears, she made it clear that her family was foremost on her mind.

"I first would like to thank God who has brought me through. I would like to thank my family in heaven and those who are with me today.

Hudson later performed "You Pulled Me Through," a dramatic song about overcoming deep despair, with the lyrics: "When I was drowning, when I was so confused, you, you pulled me through." As she sang the last note, she looked directly into the camera and dissolved into tears once again.

The Grammy telecast was filled with eye-popping and eyebrow-raising performances, from Radiohead's collaboration with a college marching band to a televised black-and-white throwback performance from Jay-Z, T.I., Lil Wayne, Kanye West and a (very) pregnant M.I.A. on "Swagga Like Us."

Poor Jennifer!! I can understand her pain loosing her mother, brother and nephew in that tragic incident. But you know sometime you should just controll your imotions specially when you are performing in front of such big audience. I guess she was just trying to win sympathy votes from the juries so that she can get another Grammy next year.

Chris Brown got Busted

Rihanna and Chris Brown
According to the police report, released 90 minutes before the show began Sunday, Chris Brown and a woman were in a vehicle in the ritzy neighborhood of Hancock Park when they began to argue around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. Here's what TMZ reports:

According to police, Brown and a woman whom cops refuse to identify were arguing inside a vehicle around 12:30 this morning when suddenly things allegedly turned violent.

Cops say they received a 911 call, and when they arrived they noticed the woman had visible injuries. We're told she then identified Brown as her attacker. Cops say Brown had left the scene by the time police arrived.

Well. Maybe this will save that life of his....slow him down some. He's a nice kid. But, I think he might like puzzy too much!

Besides, that damn girlfriend of his..Rihanna...is driving him NUTS with her insecurity and possessiveness. He's too young to be tied down Rihanna!!!!!! The sun does not rise and shine in YOUR poontang!

Jessica's Bizzare Performance is a Publicity Stunt

Jessica Simpson explained her bizzare calamity filled, lyric forgetting performance in Michigan last night - chalking the whole thing up to an "off night."

Here's what TMZ reports:

Jessica Simpson is already explaining her reportedly bizarre, calamity-filled, lyric-forgetting performance in Michigan last night -- chalking the whole thing up to an "off night."

Her rep tells TMZ, "Jessica had an off night. She's a perfectionist and wanted to start some songs over. She always wants to give the best performance for her fans."

I would not call Jessica Simpson an extra ordinary singer and the media is giving her too much attention. She's a fame whore and will do anything to keep in the limelight. She's a diva who wants everything done for and she spends as much money as she can get her hands on. She thought she'd be the next Dolly Parton, what a laugh. She was supposed to be a christian girl who saved herself for her wedding night, she wouldn't even go for counseling it was beyond her. Nick Lachey has done so much better for himself. He's happy in his own skin. Jessica can't live normally because she doesn't know what it's like to be humble she just expects everything to work out for her. What goes around comes around and she's getting what she deserves!!!!

Christian Bale regrets his outrageous act onset

Christian Bale finally decided to break his silence about his leaked onset rant on KROQ radio's popular morning show, taking full responsibility for his Terminator: Salvation explosion.

Here's what yahoo movies reports:

"It's been a miserable week for me," Bale told hosts Kevin Ryder and Gene "Bean" Baxter. "Listen, I know I have a potty mouth, everybody knows this now.

"The thing that I really want to stress is I have no confusion whatsoever. I was out of order beyond belief. I was way out of order. I acted like a punk. I regret that.

"There is nobody that has heard that tape that's been hit harder by it than me. I make no excuses for it. It is unexcusable. I hope that that is absolutely clear."

As for what brought on the much-played rant, Bale said that the day's shooting was particularly intense and that he "puts so much into what I do and care so much about it and sometimes the enthusiasm just goes awry."

"I'm embarrassed by it. I ask everybody to sit down and ask themselves, have they ever had a bad day and have they ever lost their temper and really regretted it immensely."

Not that he doesn't understand the public's insatiable desire to hear—and mock and remix—the audio.

"Feel free to make fun of me at my expense, I deserve it completely.

Poor guy!! I feel pity for him. One can understand the kind of pressure they have to handle everyday. The outburst was quite natural for any human being when you have a bad day. However the "Terminator: Salvation" actor did quite well justifying his "Potty Mouth" incident on the radio show.

Etta Slams Beyonce for singing her song

I know you have to be unbiased while writing about any celebrity. But that seems quite difficult for me when it comes to blogging something about Beyonce. She is talented that's for sure but she should have taken some more intiative when she performed the Etta James classic "At Last" at Seattle's Paramount Theatre last Wednesday. The legendary soul singer didn't like that all and Etta made that very clear in her comments.

"You know that woman he had singing for him, singing my song, she's going to get her a-- whipped," Etta said to a thunderous applause. She went on to add that she could not "stand" Beyonce.

I think before performing Beyonce should have acknowledged Etta James for singing such beautiful song. You know people like Etta live their whole life with an illusion that no one can sing their songs better than them. The 71-year-old pioneer is just suffering from identity crisis and she doesn't wanna miss out any opportunity to be in the limelight again.

Everyone Look Miley is Driving

Everyone is watching the celebrities I know that. But c'mon they also have their personal lives. I mean just in the morning I was checking out celebuzz.com and what was the news I found "Miley Cyrus has got a driving instructor", you guys call that a news. Every teen aged girl or boy in this country has to take driving test before they could drive a car on their own. What's the big deal about it. However I can't believe that Miley Cyrus is gonna drive her own car, she's a billionaire she can easily hire a driver for her. Interested candidates please drop your CV's at celebuzz.com

Everything happens for a good reason Christian

"Everything happens for a good reason" that's what Christian Bale must be telling himself after the amount hype that's been created over his spat with the director of photography of his upcoming movie "Terminator Salvation". Christian Bale went absolutely wild on the set of "Terminator Salvation" a few months back, threatening to stop production and beat some serious ass. The whole incident was audiotaped and now circulating the internet like anything. This whole incident is also helping the producers of the movie cause they don't have to spent extra bucks behind the promotion of the movie as people are also checking out the trailer of the movie while searching for the audiotape. Christian Bale must be a happy man!! He may be considering doing such things on movie set now.
